How often do you wake up and stumble to your closet before feeling a wave of panic slowly sweep your body. You realise, for the umpteenth time this month that you have nothing to wear. Then, *ping* your iPhone reminds the your 12’oclock is a client lunch. [insert expletive] You resist the temptation to throw your wheaties at the wall.
Avoid these crappy mornings and take on every day like a boss with these work-perfect, on-trend and office apropos looks. Your working wardrobe never looked so glam.
Ciao, bella!

Sail off to Capri or the boardroom in these stylish palazzo trousers. Pair with a fitted singlet in off-white or black and complete the deal with an Annie Hall-inspired long sleeveless waistcoat.

Celine thinks your big toe deserves a little extra attention this season, and we agree, making this heel with a toe ring (not toe jam)  certifiably chic.

Palazzo partay

While you’re at it. Grab another pair of palazzos (this time in navy), add a crisp white, fitted shirt and switch out the toe-hugging sandals for uber trendy red slides. Red is back, baby!

This outfit is prime sartorial real estate for your next team meeting.

Your wardrobe’s new pièce de résistance

As a child of the 80s I will always say “yes” to culottes, particularly in the ultimate neutral: grey marle. Plus, these trews have the added benefit of obscuring the monthly belly bloat. Add a long blazer in blush for palette perfection.

Pair with a black turtleneck before closing out with these ridiculously cool high-heel sock ankle boots (trust me). That cheeky space between the hem of your trousers and the top of your boots is everything.

For serioso meetings with your boss, switch the boots for classic black pumps. Tres elegant et belle. These four chic office looks just landed at Zara

For the brave and the bold

Thank gawd the over-sized trend is still alive and kicking. Anyone else with me? This shirt, yes yes yes. Bring on more of the same. To create shape, pair with a well tailored pencil skirt, then elect your tuck of choice.

Feeling adventurous? Go for the 1/4 tuck and let the rest hang out. For performance reviews or the like, best to opt for for the full tuck. But be sure to blouse well for added gravitas.

Totally on board with you about over-sized clothing! As I am always on the move, I’ve started becoming more minimalist with my wardrobe – this means multi-functional, classic pieces, and oversize is so forgiving to mix and match! I love all of the clean, well-cut pieces in this collection, I’d wear them even outside work!

Hey Alexandra, what are the three key pieces you pack for your minimalist wardrobe? I’m intrigued. Travelling light is always a challenge. Do you have a few tricks up your sleeve?

If I could only pack 3 items (minus shoes and underwear), I would go with an oversized shirt-dress, a pair of shorts and some opaque black tights. Outfit 1 – dress with/without tights, Outfit 2 – shirt dress tucked into shorts or knotted above, again with or without tights depending on weather. By rolling up sleeves, doing different tucks, there really are so many variations, and each outfit looks unique, especially if you wear your hair differently (extra tip!).

I love it! You’ve certainly got this capsule wardrobe caper down pat. I’m now curious about the shoe situation. Do you pack one pair? Is it a flat, a heel, a wedge or a sneaker?

I usually pack a lace-up pair of ankle boots, not unlike these https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/e587f8157a3d33cc8f71cbff4bc01dd4d20cb6233022e3769f47cc271b63d935.png
Classy, comfortable for walking, but can be casual too!
